Our Stay at Park Plaza London..Our favorite hotel in London!!!

When in London we love staying at The Park Plaza Westminster Bridge for its amazing location and insane views of one of my favorite cities in the world. We were so excited to be coming back and with my twin sister’s family along with us! The hotel was amazingly accommodating and put us up in the Presidential Suite! This has been my fourth stay with Park Plaza Westminster Bridge and I have to say we ALWAYS have an amazing stay!

The suite has 3 rooms so perfect for larger families or groups. There is a King room with an en suite, another room with an en suite, and an office area with a sofa bed. This is all in addition to a full living area and a kitchen, which provides a great set up for jet lagged weary travellers to load up on supplies for easy access. The true highlight of the room is the HUGE balcony that depending on the weather gives you even greater access to the most unbelievable views of the Thames, Parliament and the Eye.

Our first night we made up our own salads along with some delicious M&S victoria sponge. Again the view of London at nighttime was breathtaking. The next morning we took breakfast in the Hotel Brasserie – Joel. It is a buffet style offering with the usual fare of cereals, pastries, and various components of a full English (which I steered clear of). The breakfast is well worth it as not only is it plentiful, but also means you can hit the ground running without scrambling around the Southbank for breakfast, of which there aren’t as many options as the North side of the river. From there we took as taxi over to Victoria to sample 2 of the best bakeries in the world – Peggy Porschen with beautiful pink décor and Dominique Ansel Bakery with the iconic Cronut! Both well worth a visit!

From there we wandered via Buckingham Palace up to Old Bond Street to pop into many of the most famous shops in the world. It is such a beautiful part of the city, which includes Saville Row, and still maintaining a wonderful class and elegance. We took afternoon tea at Sketch in The Gallery, completely decked out in pink. It was a great experience, which I will cover more in a separate post.

From there we took a taxi to the Southbank for an evening stroll along the river and dinner at Giraffe with some old friends. With the start of Underbelly, and already a great selection restaurants, there is a great ambience, which will only get better when the various market stalls open for summer!!

The next day the rain came!! Not unsurprising in London but always makes for a bit of a challenge. On this day we followed breakfast with a trip on the Underground over to Liverpool Street to sample the markets and vintage stores of Spitalfields. Definitely one of my favorite areas of London, although I always get a bit carried away with spending so look out for Jayne sporting a couple of new amazing items in the coming weeks!

That evening we made out way to Covent Garden for dinner. Covent Garden is fairly close to the hotel so definitely the perfect place to review Tripadvisor to find dinner recommendations!

The next morning we sampled a beautiful sunrise on the hottest day of summer so far. The balcony really added so much to our stay and is definitely worth looking at upgrading for! Even without it, the cleanliness, quality, service and especially the location all make the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge a wonderful place to stay when visiting this wonderful city!!
