Over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, we got the opportunity to stay at The Quin Hotel in New York City. Its midtown location is perfect for access to Central Park and the Black Friday shopping of 5th Ave. Upon checking in we went up to our room on the 16th floor and were greeted by great views of New York in all its glory. The room itself was great, very spacious and the bed was SUPER comfortable. I loved the automatic blinds that revealed our beautiful view with just a tap of the touch screen device--the lighting was also automatic!
The first evening we ventured out towards Columbus Circle for a light dinner, but the highlight was swinging by The Momofuku Milk Bar, which is less than a minute away from The Quin. I’ve heard and seen so many great things about this place, so was very excited to try. Firstly, much smaller than I had expected and very busy, but the cereal milk white hot chocolate, the cereal milk shake and the various cookies we got were delicious!!!
The second day we took advantage of the great location to grab food by Central Park and take Jayne through the park. She had the best time running through the leaves! The location is also great for a stroll down to the Rockafeller Center and the amazing Christmas decorations!! Jayne was obsessed with the trees and giant baubles !
The night time view from the hotel is, if anything, more impressive than the daytime, as you get iconic views down the Avenue of the Americas. The final morning we went toMaison Kayser for breakfast (within a minute of the hotel) and would definitely recommend.
Overall, The Quin was very accommodating, and provided a great base for a weekend in New York! After checking out we made one final stop at the Museum of Natural History as Jayne loves dinosaurs and it brought to an end a great Thanksgiving weekend!
*The Quin Hotel did sponsor our stay, but all opinions are of my own :)
